:- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Judy -- A twisting and bending road : Once again Vincent Zandri has written a very twisted, plot filled book. At first I was not too taken with the main character Doc. I felt like he just kept bringing it all on himself and to start out that it was all about him more than about his wife Penny or his missing daughter. As the book went on and I began to see how much was against him, well how much everyone was against him and conspiring to see him back in prison, I gained a bit more sympathy for him. I still have questions about did he really kill those people that his lawyer Joel said he did toward the last part of the book. I wasn't sure. I did enjoy the book as a whole and there were a few lines that I highlighted as I thought they were so well written they popped for me. One of those was ... The pit of my stomach is growing bigger and bigger, pressing against my organs like a grade-four tumor. Another was.....I'm hitting him square on the jaw with one foot and searching his pockets with the other hand. Until I feel the bottom of his boot connect with my chest, and just like that I'm being heaved across the vaulted floor. Vincent definitely makes you feel like you are there watching it all take place. Like many of his other books I believe this would make a great movie. Would I recommend this book? Absolutely.
